Aside

Rachel Maddow interviewed Vice President Joe Biden on Thursday, Feb 18, 2016 and as always when listening to Mr. Biden I’m saddened that he did not go on to run for President this year.  I think he would have been a wonderful president who could reach across the aisle to truly get this country functioning again – from the heads of government to the working man/woman in every small town to every major city.

The word that I grasped out of the entire conversation was the word “Possibilities” – We have been and continue to be the country in the entire world of “Possibilities”. But, it truly is how we see those possibilities and use them not just for us, but for the entire world.  We’ve never been a country that is “all for us and none for you”. We instead, have always brought our brightest and best to share with the world – that all may help from the things we learn.  Why does this need to stop?

I don’t pretend to know, in this ever-growing, contentious group of candidates who will even be the final nominees for president in Nov 2016.  What I do hope and pray is that we are granted a president with a level head, who can: make compromise, see the best in our country, remain calm in times of unrest, stay focused on our best & brightest while never forgetting nose less fortunate.  That is the president I’m hoping for on January 20, 2017
