Fabulous Friday – Camera vs Eye? Moon photo

I took this photo facing East about 1:00am Aug 6, 2015, in the South Mountain Village in Phoenix, Arizona & yet with the eye I only saw a 1/2 moon at best. Below is a photo from the blog http://www.mikesastrophotos.com/
